MICHAEL S. CHERNOK

Michael S. Chernok came to Yale from East Haven High School. His home was in Guilford.

Freshman year at Yale, Michael was a resident of McClellan Hall where he roomed with Michael Johnson and Doug Loving. He then became a member of Davenport College but left Yale in June 1960 after Sophomore year.

He lived in San Jose, California from 1983 until 2001. In March 2005 he moved to Vail, Arizona where he resided at the time of his death.

Freshman roommate Mike Johnson remembers him as being reclusive, keeping to himself, but with a deep interest in math.

Michael did not keep in contact with Yale. Unfortunately, little is known of his life's work or even whether he left any descendants.
