Philip E. Bourne

Died: June 29, 1970

Phil was born in Boston and prepared for Yale at the Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts. He originally enrolled with the Class of 1959 and actually graduated with the Class of 1963 but consistently chose to affiliate with the Class of 1962.

He married Luette Close while still an undergraduate, and they lived in Madison, Connecticut during his last year at Yale. Phil was a member of Branford College as well as a member of Zeta Psi.

After graduating from Yale he joined the Boston banking firm of White Weld and Company. He was also active in the management of the Cheese Shop on Tremont Street in Boston. Phil was a member of the Union Boat Club in Boston and a veteran of the U. S. Army Signal Corps.

He died suddenly in Boston on June 29, 1970, at the age of 33, leaving, in addition to his widow, a daughter Luette C. and two sons, Philip E., Jr. and Harrison C., his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Philip W. Bourne of Beverly, Massachusetts, and his brother, Jonathan F. Bourne of Holderness, N.H.
